For those of you that may think this is familiar, think back to the old N64 days with Rogue Squadron. Same basic premise but with a lot more CGI effects. Bioware has stated that currently these space missions are solo only but will be adding the ability for mutliplayer missions in the future. Personally I was looking for a more open enviroment for space but this turned out pretty nice with all things considerd.
